Use this checklist to ensure a safe, secure, and fully operational facility before daily production begins.
Studio managers, facility managers, operations leads, opening staff, technical managers, security teams, reception staff, and department leads should use this checklist before daily staff, clients, or production teams enter the full facility.
Keep the opening date, inspection time, opening lead, security status, safety faults, utility checks, access issues, scheduled operations, staffing gaps, equipment restrictions, assigned actions, and final opening approval.
The studio facility is ready to open when:
✓ Building access and security are controlled
✓ Emergency routes and systems are ready
✓ Power, water, and climate systems work
✓ Shared areas are clean and accessible
✓ Production spaces can begin readiness checks
✓ Equipment and technical systems are available
✓ Networks and communication systems work
✓ Supplies support the day’s bookings
✓ Deliveries and contractors are controlled
✓ Staffing and schedule coverage are confirmed
✓ Open issues have owners and controls
✓ Final opening approval is recorded
Use the same opening process before every operating day, including weekends, early calls, public holidays, overnight handovers, and days with limited bookings.
Note: This checklist covers the full building before daily operations begin. Detailed room setup, installed equipment testing, participant materials, and session specific requirements belong in their separate readiness checklists.
