Who Should Use This Checklist

Studio owners, operations managers, booking coordinators, equipment managers, facility teams, department leads, system administrators, and resource managers should use this checklist before building or cleaning a booking catalogue.

Records to Keep

Keep the resource name, type, category, location, ownership, classification, reason, capacity, booking rules, permissions, dependencies, maintenance status, pricing treatment, approver, review date, and future owner.

Final Readiness Check

The resource catalogue is ready when:

✓ Every resource has a valid record
✓ Duplicate and inactive records are removed
✓ Bookable resources prevent real conflicts
✓ Non-bookable records remain off the calendar
✓ Restricted resources have clear controls
✓ Kits, shared resources, and dependencies work
✓ Maintenance blocks prevent unavailable bookings
✓ Permissions and client visibility are approved
✓ Classification tests pass
✓ Every decision has an owner and reason

Keep Resource Classification Useful

A resource should appear in the calendar only when reserving it prevents a real conflict, controls limited capacity, or assigns responsibility. Informational records, consumables, fixed infrastructure, and minor dependent accessories usually belong outside direct booking.

Note: This checklist defines how resources should operate inside the booking system. Data cleaning, field mapping, importing, validation, and catalogue transfer belong in the Resource Catalogue Migration Checklist.
